Job description
Level – Data Analyst
Reporting To – Analyst Manager, Remote Monitoring System (RMS)
Purpose – The RMS Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of the Remote Monitoring System (RMS) by conducting daily sanity checks, validating incident and problem resolution, and effectively handling or assigning RMS-related incidents. This position requires a strong understanding of monitoring systems, good analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The RMS Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to address incidents promptly, drive root cause analysis (RCA), and ensure timely resolution to maintain system integrity and functionality.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct daily sanity checks of the Remote Monitoring System (RMS) to detect any
errors or abnormalities in system performance or data.
- Review system alerts and reports to ensure that data is accurate and up to date.
- Identify and investigate any discrepancies or issues detected during the sanity checks and create corresponding problem tickets.
- Montior and manage RMS related real time incidents.
- Assign incidents to appropriate stakeholders for investigation and resolution, ensuring that each incident is tracked and followed up until resolution.
- Monitor the progress of assigned incidents, providing support and guidance to ensure timely resolution and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Validate the resolution of incidents and problems identified within the RMS, ensuring that reported issues are effectively addressed and resolved.
- Review incident and problem records to verify the accuracy of information, completeness of documentation, and effectiveness of resolution actions taken.
- Responsible for root cause analysis (RCA) for RMS incidents, identifying underlying causes and contributing factors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence of issues.
- Ensure that RCA findings and resolution actions are documented, tracked, and communicated effectively to stakeholders

Experience & Qualifications Required
- 1st degree in Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering/Computer Science or related discipline
- 2 – 4 years related experience
